Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 29th of August 7.30pm

Welcome to Wednesday's edition of the Coronation Street Blog and the first of tonights two episode reviews...

Corrie's Cruising theme continues tonight (minus captain hats) as Rana has a decision to make. Go on holiday with girlfriend Kate and 'come out' to her homophobe Mother, or leave for a 6 week Cruise with her Mum, and devastate Kate?. It's less funny than Lewis in a daft hat and Audrey sailing with Abba, but still, you get the drift. Settling down for lunch at Speed Daal, it appears the Habib's may be making peace?.

Gutted about Henry's departure, Gemma seeks distraction in Liz's love life and strives to play cupid.

Also playing cupid (or stupid) Mary invites the residents to Jude and Angie's marriage vow renewals, seemingly unaware of the couples continued councilling sessions and the troubled state of their unity.

Meanwhile, with Rana admitting the truth, the truth about her relationship with Kate cause Saira a huge shock. But as Saira seeks solace in her daughter, Rana decides that family must come first and she decides to take the cruise with her Mum. Are Kate and Rana over for good?.

In other news, Brian applies for the teaching job, Sean returns to Underworld, & Simon is being watched.

Anyway, that's me for another week.

I hope you've enjoyed my mid-week paean to the drama of Coronation Street.

I'm @rybazoxo your self-styled 'Cobbles Connoisseur'.
