George Banks reveals favourite boss of the Rovers Return
George Banks, who plays Henry Newton, is interviewed in this week's Inside Soap magazine. He answers queries from fans, which is always a fun read. When asked who his favourite boss of the Rovers Return was he says he remembers belly-laughing whenever the Duckworths were in the Rovers. "So they hold a really special place in my Corrie memories." he says.
He revealed that being on Corrie is still "slightly mind-blowing" for him and says. "The other day I was stood behind the bar looking out at Rita, Gail and Audrey, all these people I grew up watching - that was very surreal!"
And asked who he'd like to become Henry's best mate on the soap, he says it would be Shona.
George also revealed that he was the voice-over for Harry Potter computer games. "I was the commentator in the Quidditch World Cup games and it was my first ever voice-over job."
And asked which other Corrie character he would like to play he says "Roy! He's Weatherfield's answer to Plato and it would be interesting to be inside his head for a day."

Couldn't disagree with him more! I remember thinking the Duckworths were going to be great fun as landlords, but it didn't work at all. Being behind the bar seemed to drain the life out of their characters, especially Vera. Liz Dawn herself said she hated their stint at the Rovers.
Why are there so many scenes with Gemma eating and talking at the same time? We get it, she is common.
I like the character and think she is fun and plays well off many other characters but the eating thing is getting old. Can anyone enlighten me?
Loved the Duckies but not in the Rovers.
