You might have heard of Elf on a Shelf (I hadn't, I have to admit). Well, now there's a Coronation Street version doing the rounds.
I've brought some of the funniest pics to this blog post, well they made me chuckle anyway and it is Friday...
I can't take any credit for these pictures. They come from this Facebook page.

...and the Corrie muppets! https://coronationstreetupdates.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/coronation-street-bunch-of-muppets.html
I don't get this at all. Can someone please explain?
Rita on a Cheetah. Roy on a Toy. Gail on a Whale.
OK, I don't have the graphics knowledge but we could have "Dave on a Wave". Todd on sod? Tyrone on a dog bone? Anyone, feel free to add graphics to these.
As well as Roy on a Toy, it could also be Roy Cropper on a Space Hopper.
Ken on a Pen , have fun with the graphics on that. Sally on a Raleigh,
Tim on a limb, Gary (and Harry and Mary together) on a ferry, Sophie on a trophy, Nicola on a Ricola:)
We're really on a roll! Now if only someone came along who can supply the graphics.
‘Elf on a Shelf’ is a traditional American Christmas decoration. Everybody has them (well, except Jewish people - Amazon carries with ‘Mensch on a Bench’ for us). The rhyming has spawned a new style of internet memes, many of which feature Donald Trump. These are in that style.

Abbyk, traditional American Christmas decoration? When did that start? I'm a 64YO American born & bred & I've never heard of it.
It's a fairly new-ish thing. I think it came out in 2005. It's really for people with young children. They have the Elf on the Shelf watching over the kids to tell Santa they've been good....or not, I guess. Lol
It’s so familiar I thought they had been around at least since I was a kid in the 60s. I don’t really keep up on Christmas decor. Sorry.
Deffo Cropper on a Hopper - not Roy on a toy.
Abbyk, there's no need to apologize, I was just confused over how something I'd never heard of could be such an institution. I guess the thing is, whether something has been around since forever depends on how old you are. Zagg cleared it up nicely.
Elf on a shelf is definetley NOT an american (or Canadian) tradition - it is a fad that has been around less than a decade
The only person I know with an elf on a shelf is English! (and I am Canadian).
And how about Abi on a striped cat? (ie. Abi on a tabby)
