Will Todd Grimshaw be the one to bring down Phelan?

Pic from blogger @elhynes on twitter
Our blogger Ruth asked the question 'What happened to Todd in that London?' on the Coronation Street Blog this week.

Whatever did happen to Todd, he's returned to Weatherfield more cynical and sceptical than he ever was. And he's devious too.  Remind you of anyone else on the cobbles right now?  Yup, Pat Phelan.

Blogger Emma posed the question on twitter yesterday, asking if Todd might be the one to expose Pat Phelan and bring about his downfall.  Ooh, I do hope so.

The makings of it are already there, aren't they? That oh-so-not-cosy family dinner the other night with Eileen, Phelan, Sean and Todd.  Todd made his feelings to Phelan (sorry, it's too easy) very clear, didn't he? He's onto him.  And let's hope that whatever might happen in the storyline, we're cheering on Todd from our sofas in the coming months.

Yeah, I was Phelan the hate between them too :o)

Much as I detest the Phelan character, it will be delicious watching Todd take him apart.

I'm with Digger. Can't stand Phelan, and Todd's devious enough to know what Phelan's about, and to take him down either bit by bit, or with a bang.
Either way it will be good watching.

What grandpa said, It Takes One To Know One. Carla is smart. Tracy is devious. Phelan is both. Thankfully, so is Todd. And he loves his mom. Can't wait to see what he cooks up. Please can it be a long, detailed, exquisite wind up and a explosive reveal.

What Klingons say, Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold.

I'm also looking forward to Todd bringing down Phelan.
I also hope we seen Eileen apologise to Anna [who was humiliated publicly by Eileen and Phelan] publicly in the Rovers and not the meek muttering apology she gave to Tyrone after the truth came out about Kirsty being the abuser

Yes, a Todd take-down of Phelan would be awesome. I have to say, though, that the chap playing Phelan is a fabulous actor. Wish we had more of his calibre.

I hope so! Todd has such potential as a character. It will be very entertaining to watch these two men struggle.
