She had a weep. She knew she wouldn't keep her promises to Jim. Lying alone in a cell, I think he knew it too, down deep. She sends Steve and Becky to bed and listens to the echos of her past.
Then it's last orders and turn out the lights
The inevitable and traditional taxi, red shiny case in hand.
"Airport, please.... Go for it"
And off she goes. Good luck, Elizabeth!

Quality ending
Here here!
In fact, everything was quality tonight. Becky was a bit out of character, but behaving the way an adult family member should. Nice change.
Lovely ending... loved the voices of Corrie's past return again, and then Liz shutting off all those memories out with the light. Very Elsie Tanner wasn't it.
"Go for it"... good luck Liz!
Oh please, the character ran out of steam... couldn't wait to see her leave...
Thought it was a bit mawkish actually. She should have gone off in that black cab wi' Jim! Sad to see him ending up in the Big Hoose. A disjointed ending in my opinion that could have been done so much better.
At least the suitcase was realistic - you wouldn't need much room for the slapper tops and pelmets :p
Loved hearing the voice of the glorious Alec Gilroy! No chance of tempting Roy back for one last fling? He's still working!
Pity it wasn't visual flashbacks, but still quite moving. It didn't make much sense that she and Becky would suddenly be friends again but made for a more touching ending.
I loved the voices calling from the past, much more than visuals. I can remember all of it!
Oh if only Bet would make a shock comeback.... Liz was good, had her moments and will most likely have more. This wont be the last of her.
