Corrie weekly awards: April 24 - 29
Abandonment Star: They ran down the hill and left the bear behind!!
Betrayal award: Gold Star: Norris slipped and now Mary knows Graeme and Xin's secret too and she grassed them up to Immigration. This is not going to end well.
All for nothing award: Gold Star: Eddie has left Anna because of Faye and now she may lose Faye anyway.
Make my day award: Cheeky Star: They should put Tommy and Julie together. She drools over anything in trousers and he flirts with anything in a skirt.
Fairy Godmother award: Sean really made a great Joseph coat! Too bad Smug Cheryl and her spawn were jealous and tried to spoil it.
Dweeb award: Steve is such a terrible liar. How could Becky not see through that fake phone call?
Movie Retcon award: Oscar winning star: Ghost! The Pottery adventures was wonderful! Ken's "jug" looked like a melted ice cream stick. or something.
Lines of the week:
Gail about Sophie "She's just having a phase of 'funny'" (Um, no she's not)
Neighbour to John "Who shall i say is callin' " (That's right. i.e. callin' = Colin)
Kylie about Graeme and Xin "If that's an act, I'm a flippin virgin"
Tina "You can sing God Save the Queen in Union Jack underpants. It won't make any difference if Xin's not here"
Mary "When you've traveled alone in foreign lands, you get used to servicing yourself" (How can they get away with this stuff! Brilliant!)
Deirdre to Ken "Are you going to sit there in that chair all day, reading about old crocks? Mind you, it takes one to know one."
Ken about the pottery guy "What a dilettante, what a phony!" (takes one to know one)
Cranky Government guy "I'll not raise a glass to a Constitutional Immaturity"

Most Unconvincing Civil Servant. Ever. In All History: The Immigration Inspector.
Civil Servants are supposed to be politically neutral when on duty, so spouting republican views to strangers would be risky. And his anti-monarchy views were stupid. Corrie pleased neither monarchists nor republicans with this ridiculous portrayal. EastEnders' Wedding coverage was awful, but better than this. It pains me so much to say that.
The Give Up Too Easily Award: Eddie brought up troublesome Gary so why quit so soon with Faye? This rubbish story was just concocted for Eddie’s leaving, it would have been better for him just to go to Germany to make some big money on a construction job.
Deluded and rude award: Gail shouting at Toddley and Jools across the street that they were talking about her when they weren’t and had only said its Sarah’s mum and said hello.
Who is on the switch award: Who is in the cab office now the uber annoying Cheryl has got a job in The Joinery Bar.?
Can Anyone Get Any Dafter Award: What is Steve doing lying to Becky and going to Blackpool with Tracy? I know he wants to spend time with his daughter but if anyone knows how sly and manipulative Tracy is, he does, plain as the nose on your face Becky will find out – does Steve actually have anything between those ears?
Nasty Undertones Award: After such a nice day celebrating the Royal Wedding with the whole Country and the world glad for us, the unpleasant dialogue allowed to creep in, expressing the writers’ personal feelings on the royal couple which has no place in a soap.
Pain in the backside award: Tina with her “face” all the time over Grahame and Xin. She was the one who bullied him into it, now it doesn’t suit her, she is having a go at him like it’s his fault. I really don’t like this character and that long ponytail reminds me of a horse!
Worst Easter Lunch Award: What was that mess that Eileen offered up on Easter day when she was having guests. You would have thought she could have done a couple of chops or a chicken or something or was it supposed to show Northern “ignorance” in front of a posh boy?
Rude Pottery Award: Not saying what Ken’s offering was, it looked rather phallic!
Frosty, Ken's offering looked like an old ... crock.
I was also surprised at what Eileen made for an Easter Dinner. If she was trying to impress everyone, Eileen would most definitely not have made that tuna tomato slop.
I loved Bob the unlikely immigration officer; hope they use him again some time.
I thought that nigel the best in the pottery class was quite nice on the eye a bit of a Ghost moment there for me and many other girls too i think.... yes lets see more of nigel, the best and most entertaining part of the show Friday!
Give Nigel a bigger part I say, can just see him with the girls and Sean sewing them knickers, lol, nah seriously though the guy that played him was brill, need to see more of him soooooooooooon....
Nasty Undertones Award: After such a nice day celebrating the Royal Wedding with the whole Country and the world glad for us, the unpleasant dialogue allowed to creep in, expressing the writers’ personal feelings on the royal couple which has no place in a soap.
