Accident ahead for Kevin Webster
Sophie's still recovering from her church roof fall, but it seems dad Kevin is about to follow in her hospital-bound footsteps.
Kev's reported to be crushed under a fancy new bit of machinery he will purchase for the garage with some of his lottery winnings.
He is said to ban Tyrone from using the car lifter, and so Tyrone takes revenge by sabotaging it with a hammer. Kevin will then be trapped underneath the machine when it breaks, and left facing serious injury.
It's probably safe to say Kevin will be fine in the long run, but will this be enough to reignite Sally's feelings for her soon to be ex-husband? Sound off your thoughts below!

Sounds an interesting spoiler, I don't think it'll lead to a reunion, but I think Sally will help Kevin recover as a friend
Another accident with hackneyed scenes at Weatherfield General with everyone blaming each other - ground hog day again. Corrie is just lumbering from one sensation to the next, sack the writers and get some decent ones with decent dialogue and wit!!
Again, I feel sabotage would be completely out of character for Tyrone. So it's yet another implausible storyline.
~JB in Canada
Yawn...
Might be time to stop watching, I think.
Completely agree with Frosty (again)... what a CHEAP, lazy plotline and I also agree with JB that this is totally not in line with Tyrone's character or really anyone working near machinery... hitting a piece of equipment at work with a hammer? How childish and potentially criminal? No, no, no... just not believable...
Also, you can't have two guys sniping at each other working in one small garage... by now, they would/should have come to some kind of business arrangement... Kev should be buying out Tyrone's share of the business or trying to with his newfound wealth. That would leave Tyrone rootless in the Cobbles but the writers should at least follow this logical route and see where it goes...
Absolutely ridiculous are my first thoughts too. Can't we have one week without an accident?
Yet another "character transplant" from the writers, where Tommy Duckworth's arrival apparently causes Tyrone to change into Terry Duckworth.
Tyrone's dash to the solicitor's office to tell Sally about the lottery win was a good scene and realistic payback. This story is ridiculous. Buy hey, let's just add another character who could be charged with attempted manslaughter to the roll of bank robbers, murderers, fraudsters......
I agree, this is getting tiresome. Lets have a little normalcy ... Corrie is getting to be a bit Cabot Cove ... way too high a percentage of bad'uns for a single street.
Ah, crikey. I usually try to defend the show and at least attempt to understand story/character decisions, but seriously, they've got to take their foot off the pedal and dial back the high drama a bit! Less sensationalism, more down-to-earth character-led storytelling, please.
Sophie gets injured and it brings the Websters together, Kev gets injured and...yawn. I like the Websters, but they're just going round in circles now which is tedious to watch. And I agree that this is out of character for Tyrone.
I reckon Tyrone is more likely to come to Kevin's rescue.
It would make more sense if the saboteur, if there is one, to be Tommy who might have a nasty gene from his father.
Exactly. Another unpleasant storyline. I feel I just don't know the characters any more.
and when this happens, who will look after the baby - maybe that's the storyline the writers are focusing on. but agree that this is not in Tyrone's character.
I don't think Tyrone will mean to get Kev injured, he probably just hits the machine out of anger and doesn't think anything of it
Aww, finally, a nice storyline we can sink our teeth into! Emily is going to open a tea cafe now that Nick's bistro has failed! It took Sophie a while to convince Kev that a few 1000 pounds donation to help redecorate and furnish the shop (and community hall) would raise his standing in Weatherfield.
Now that Soph and Sian are back in the choir, they've become closer to Emily and friends at the church. Not the holier-than-thou crowd, just the salt of the earth, help your neighbour bunch. And Spider is coming for a short visit to help out, with his new girl Toyah! And there's a job there for Roy's Mum too!
Too bad Tyrone hurt his foot when he dropped that hammer. But when Kevin realizes that Ty saved his life after the hammer bounced and broke the new steel car raiser onto him, the two old friends start to thaw out the icy hate they've been carrying around for so long.
We all need to write to Corrie's powers-that-be and just say BWAAA-HA-HA-HA! BWAAA-HA-HA-HA! to the latest nonsense.
