News in from the papers today is that Maggie Jones, who plays Blanche Hunt, is ill in hospital. It's sad news indeed and I'm sure all Corrie fans will join in wishing Maggie a very speedy recovery indeed.The Manchester Evening News says that Maggie was taken to Salford Royal Hospital on Saturday. She underwent emergency surgery for an existing condition and was today described as 'very poorly'. Corrie officials have revealed she has been written out of future episodes. And they rubbished reports in the tabloids that she had fallen and ruptured her spleen.
