Its fantastic that some great new characters are being introduced but I think some characters should be written out now, for example Eileens very uninteresting boyfriend, cant even remember his name and Janis and the Peacocks.
I'm with you on the Peacocks. They've been boring me since the loss of Fred. Jesse (Eileen's fellah) deserves a bit longer and some quality writing as John Thompson is a very gifted actor who's advent on the Street was enthusiastically hailed as something of a coup - but it's true he hasn't sone much at all. Too much of a wimp, maybe? Let's meet his gorgon mother; maybe that'll provide some interest.
I would have added Minnie to the list of dispensibles, but with Darryl's (unfortunate departure) maybe she'll come into her own running the kebab shop.
Oh, and more Ted, please! You can't have too much Ted.
It's all up to the writers. They can give a minor character more depth. They can give the major characters more interesting storylines...Sure when people leave, they need to be replaced, but like the Sheila character who comes in and supposedly exits before we even get a chance to know her? What's with that???
