Cast sad about Dorgu departure

Antony Cotton has been telling PA that the cast will miss Tupele Dorgu, who plays knicker stitcher Kelly Crabtree, when she leaves the Street in a couple of weeks. We reported back in November that Tupele would leaving the show to seek new challenges elsewhere.

"Tupele leaves in about two weeks, which we're all really sad about, but she's going on to new things, pastures new," said Anthony. "When any of our fold leave it's sad, but we're hoping that they do well, and we'll follow Tupele."

So what do the viewers think? She's uncompromising and always sticks up for herself and I've always enjoyed her character, even if she always seems to rub people up the wrong way. I will certainly miss her.

I will miss her too. She's a funny character and it's a shame that she never got a big storyline. I really liked her honesty the other day, when Janice and Fiz were being nice and sympathetic towards Sally, but Kelly pointed out that they never liked her anyway!

She'll be a miss in the factory, I like her character and think she interacts well with Sean and Janice.

Such a pity she wasn't given more storylines during her time on Corrie, I still feel we know very little about her and her life.

Sad she was never given a proper storyline. She is a beautiful lady and she is a good singer as well. I really hope she is successful in her future endeavours

Yes I will miss her, she is not a particularly pleasant character, as demonstrated by the Sally collection business, but she has some great one liners and I love her outfits! Shame she was only used as an "extra" really in the Rovers and Factory and wasnt really given a storyline or had her past relationship with Becky (they were in prison together) explored more. I wish Tupele luck for the future.

The character of Kelly was criminally under-used, ever since her initial big splash. I'm not surprised in the slightest that Tupele decided to leave, as she's been a glorified extra ever since. Such a pity, as she plays the part brilliantly. Good luck Tupele. I'll certainly miss you.

Won't miss her at all, sorry. I wish they'd done more with Polish Wiki.

Yes, she was funny, dressed like a tramp but didn't know why people thought she was a tart. The writers woefully under-explored her character. She played her part well, but with some encouragement from the writers who could have done more with her character, this actress could have taken Corrie to newer, exciting places...too bad the writers chose instead to be gutless and gave us stuff like Molvin...

I think she was a spare part for far too long and i don't blame her for moving on. She was great as Kelly, i thought, not particularly likeable (the character) but played spot on!
