Paul Heaton, the ex-lead singer from the band Beautiful South will begin a 720-mile Pedals and Pumps trip in May, setting off from The Rovers Return on Coronation Street. Travelling by bike, Paul will be aiming to play 15 gigs with his band across the North and Midlands at a range of different pubs – and hopefully stay the night. I doubt he'll be doing that at the Rovers because you know, it's um, not a real pub, but if you want to keep up to date with his plans, have a look at his MySpace site here.

Beautiful South singer in Rovers Return
