Steve McDonald's best moments

Oh brilliant! There's an interview over on What's On TV with Simon Gregson looking back at some of his character, Steve McDonald's best remembered storylines. It's interesting to read his thoughts and also, read between the lines a bit.

For instance, he mentions that when he and Michelle were together, he was often in the back of the bar and in order to throw something in, he'd gurn. The beginning of the Steve Gurnage! I took that to mean that he was possibly trying to upstage Kym Marsh perhaps because she was the focus of so many of the storylines and Steve was more or less a support player. But maybe that's just me. *smirk* In any case, there are reminiscences of Steve and Karen's wedding, and the encounter with Jez Quigley's dogs! He remembers how nervous and green he felt starting out at the age of 15 and how it took many years to settle in to acting.

For me, the turning point was about the time when Steve was running a construction business with Jim just before and after Jim had the accident that left him temporarily disabled. Simon seemed to become a lot more comfortable and the comic timing seemed to come out more about then, too.
