Steve McDonald and his magic sausage

Did anyone else notice Steve's shrinking and expanding magic sausage on Coronation Street last night in the first episode?

There Steve was in Roy's Rolls, enjoying his sausage and chips, and the camera showed a full sausage on the end of Steve's fork. In the next shot, the sausage had both ends chewed off before it reverted back to its full, unchewed length. Then we saw the sausage with just one end chewed off and in the final shot, the sausage had gone back to its full size. What is Roy cooking those sausages in?!

Haha - I noticed this when I saw it :) Things like this always bug me!

It IS Roy's fault that's for sure! ;o)

Haha, I saw the title of this post and laughed. Yes, I'm immature.

Well, I'm going to hazard a guess, but the varying sausages lengths are probably due to the pair of these actors probably bursting out laughing while performing this scene and having to shoot and re-shoot several times ...

Well spotted. Cracking scene I thought. I laughed at Lloyd saying Steve kept telling him how much he loves him when he was drunk. Steve and Lloyd are a really good double act, and Eileen and them together are funny as well. The actors looked like they were really tucking into their food in this scene!

I remember a scene in the early 1990s and the camera was low down (can't recall why, maybe it was Maud-related :) ) and you could see the real inside of the corner shop which was being light by a security light! There was the invisible letter as well of course which Harry Hill commented on, but the sausage must now also be a classic whoopsie.

What was the invisible letter?

When the extra in the background put a "letter" into the post box outside the corner shop, but there was no letter she just made the movements!
