I'm loving Anthony Valentine's portrayal of Grandad George and can't wait to see how his cunning plan to gain custody of Simon pans out. At the council meeting when Peter's bar got the go ahead, it was pretty darned clear that deals had been done. What else has he got up his sleeve? He's looked sinister from the get-go with his long black coat. Mind you, he's always made a terrific baddie. Any oldies like me remember him as the sadistic Major Mohn in 70s series Colditz? He was also brilliant as gentleman thief Raffles and I wish ITV3 would show the whole series (again!).
In case anyone's concerned, I'm convinced no harm will come to young Simon! I'm guessing someone will come to his rescue.
