The previews are in from ITV for next week’s Coronation Street and Asha’s problems continue.
She steals Dev’s credit card to buy more skin lightening cream. Then she goes on a date with Riley from school and is mortified when Dev and Mary sit her down for a chat about the birds and bees.
But when a parcel arrives at Dev’s house in Asha’s name, Dev tears it open and is stunned to find a bottle of skin lightening cream. Ordering Asha to roll up her sleeves, Dev’s shocked at the sight of Asha’s red raw skin.
He rips down Asha’s posters of light-skinned Bollywood stars from her room, asserting that nobody looks like that in real life. Mary discovers that Asha has taken her things and gone. Can Dev and Asha make up again?

Much as I've been annoyed by Asha's sulking, now we know the reason I fully support this storyline. An important issue, and finally something original.
I agree with you cocconno 196. These young actors are maturing so well into their rolls. truly bear the torch for the next generation.
