Paparazzi pics show Steve in new funny Corrie story
There are paparazzi pics in The Sun today showing filming of a Coronation Street storyline featuring one of my favourites, Steve McDonald.
The storyline will feature Steve accused of taking part in a robbery where he's accused of being the getaway driver!
The tabloid says: "In upcoming scenes taxi driver Steve will pick up a fare who asks him to stop at a garage to buy flowers on the way to visit a pal in hospital. But instead of picking up some tulips and grapes, the local wrong’un robs the petrol station and then forces Steve, played by Simon Gregson, to drive away at speed. However wheelman Steve and his new pal don’t manage to get away scot-free and soon the police come knocking, thinking the seven-times married taxi firm owner is guilty."
Mr Curry Sauce tells The Sun: “Iain (MacLeod, new producer) is keen to make sure that Corrie is not all big stunts and doom and gloom. It’s always had a comedic edge and he’s trying to inject a bit of that back into it. This storyline will put a smile on viewers’ faces. Steve has had his fair share of bad luck over the years, but getting caught up in a robbery then being accused himself is new even for him.”
The robbery will play out on screens in the coming months.
It's all here.

Another character being falsely accused of a crime they didn't commit?
Is that all the writers can think of?
I also don't see Steve being arrested for something he didn't do being 'funny"either
Agreed! Maybe if the fare robbed Tracey
Funny? Remains to be seen but I don't hold out much hope.
