Should Steve remarry Tracy - Yay or Nay?
He's a fan of wedding cake and no mistake. And she's a fan of getting her own way, whatever the cost or price. But should these two be marrying each other - again?
I vote Nay. This is because I think Steve is better suited to Abi and the pair of them have more fire and drama between them than Steve and Tracy. But I kind of like the new Tracy. Since Deirdre died, her character has quietened down a lot and I think it could be a good pairing, as parents to Amy. But I prefer my married soap couples to have more of a spark between them and therefore vote Nay.
What do you say? Yay or Nay?

I say nay but they'll split soon enough even if they do marry. This is meant to be a light-hearted storyline but I don't find much zing between the pair. Tracy has more chemistry with Mary. Steve has more with Tim. Tim and Mary? Now, there's an idea. Tracy's personality changes depending on who she's talking to. She was particularly nasty to Leanne about baby Oliver. Naturally, this was the work of the script writer for the episode and nothing to do with Tracy's story arc. And that's the problem. To develop the character, she should have left her father's home a long time ago and struggled to be independent. There could have been interesting storylines but, at the moment, the character's stuck. She won't improve by being married to Steve who would become the cliched down-trodden soap husband.
Nay, and it has nothing to do directly with Abi, although I do agree their friendship has more spark. With Steve and Tracy, its almost as they both looked at each other and said well, there’s no one else and you’re not that bad. Other than Amy and a neighborly history, they have nothing. No common interests, no shared trauma, no business built together. Neither is smitten with the other. As a couple, they are only slightly more interesting than Kana because they have outside friends, Liz, Ken and Peter with whom they kvetch and scheme. Not an auspicious start.
Nay - but not with Abi either. Just because he's shared a couple of scenes with her doesn't mean he should run off and marry her. I liked Steve and Leanne, I don't know why they dropped that storyline.
Nay. Steve is always the down- trodden clown hubby, isn't he? He becomes unhappy really quickly and then looks for love elsewhere.
He's drawn to strong bossy women who make the decisions for him.
I don't like Tracy - she's too aggressive. I don't like Abi either.
Whoever he's with, I can't see him gaining the upper hand as, like a lot male characters in Corrie, he's too drippy and passive.
Yes! Unless Rob gets out of prison, then all bets are off. :-)
Tracy has always been smitten by Steve, and Steve def has an attraction to her bad ways.
I like Abi but much like Becky I think that the actor won't stick around as she'll have other opportunities.
I say Nay too - I would also like to see Steve and Leanne get together.
Nay. NAY!!! Those who don't learn from history are doomed to make the mistakes of the past. 'Nuff said.
I say nay but let her call it off so we don't have to watch Tracy hate, that is old.
I agree! And actually I am really beginning to dislike Abi. Not sure why she is compared to Becky? She is a miserable person, mother, friend etc. Send her off.
Nay. Steve needs someone to love him for who he is. Not walk all over him like previous wives or girlfriends have done. He won't change and he should find someone that doesn't try to change him.
I would hate to see him with Abi; the character hasn't earned our trust, and the trope of 'rough girl redeemed' has been done to death anyway. It would also mean making Abi a long-term character.
Simon and Kate are fantastic comedic actors and I’d like to see their characters given the writing they deserve. Develop these two into a powerhouse so that we enjoy Corrie every night amid the darkness of the current world politics!
