The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Johnny and Eva’s plans to sort things out through mediation come to nothing. He decides to disappear with baby Susie instead!
He heads to a hotel room and a bereft Eva makes a public appeal for her baby’s return. Having watched the appeal on TV, Johnny calls Liz.
As Liz arrives Johnny breaks down, admitting he can’t bear to lose his granddaughter. Liz urges Johnny to give her up but Johnny refuses to listen. He tells Liz he plans to go on the run to Spain with Susie and wants her to come with them. As Johnny kisses Liz will she agree?

Johnny has turned into horrible, nasty selfish man, I can barely stand to watch him any longer. How the heck can he look after a baby he can barely look after himself. Am not looking forward to this storyline at all.
I agree Anon, and Liz has gone from being one of my favourite characters to one of my most disliked.
Agree - used to like them both, but this storyline is ruining them.
Johnny is grieving. Still love Liz - she's confused but still very empathetic to everyone.
I dunno - hardly empathetic to Jenny to sleep with her husband.
People who have affairs aren't confused - they know exactly what they're doing. It's a choice.
