EVA’S CRIB IS EMPTY An upset Jenny reveals that Johnny never came home last night. Meanwhile when Eva wakes and discovers that Susie is missing she’s thrown into blind panic. Her first thought is Toyah but when she appears without Susie suspicion soon moves to Johnny. The police take Susie’s details and promise to do everything they can to trace her. Johnny sits in a hotel room cradling Susie.
CHESNEY MAKES A DATE WITH GEMMA Chesney takes Gemma for lunch at the bistro. He’s about to confess his feelings for her when they’re interrupted by the arrival of Henry.
EILEEN’S SURPRISED BY WHAT SHE FINDS AT NUMBER 11 In an attempt to make amends, Steve helps Abi and Seb who are frantically tidying the house before Eileen returns. Eileen arrives home to mayhem. However her disapproval is overshadowed by the news that Steve is engaged to Tracy.
ELSEWHERE Aware that Jude and Angie are going through a rocky patch, Mary offers to babysit so they can have a night out. Sinead shows Daniel the vacant shop, suggesting it would be perfect for her vintage clothes shop. Brian points out they’re too late, he’s already put in an offer.

JOHNNY’S IN OVER HIS HEAD Liz realises Johnny stole her keys to the pub. Taking this in Kate and Jenny search his flat and are horrified to find Johnny hasn’t been taking his MS pills. In a hotel room a weak Johnny struggles to feed Susie, as a bereft Eva makes a public appeal for her return. Having watched the appeal, Johnny calls Liz. As Liz arrives Johnny breaks down, admitting he can’t bear to lose his granddaughter.
HENRY MAKES A PLAY FOR GEMMA Henry declares his love for Gemma and tells her how his parents forced him to get engaged to Cressida by threatening to disinherit him. Gemma tells him to get lost but when he announces he’s told them to stick their inheritance, he wants to be with her and has bought her the Rovers will Gemma be moved?
EILEEN DECIDES TO SAVE STEVE FROM HIMSELF Steve begs Eileen not to throw Abi and Seb out on the street. Eileen begrudgingly agrees on condition he breaks off his engagement to Tracy!
CATHY’S LOYALTY IS IN DOUBT Brian’s incensed to hear that Daniel and Sinead have gazumped him over the shop. Cathy promises to try and talk them out of it but when Sinead describes her vision of a vintage clothes shop, Cathy can’t help but be swept up by her enthusiasm and agrees that she deserves the unit. Brian’s furious, revealing that he’s already resigned from his job!
ELSEWHERE At Jude’s insistence, Angie accompanies him to see a marriage guidance counsellor. Angie admits she’s lost all respect for Jude and feels trapped in her marriage.
