Tommy Orpington returns to Coronation Street

He's fast! He's mean! He likes a fruit machine! Tommy O! Tommy O!

Yes, Weatherfield County footballer Tommy Orpington is returning to Coronation Street. I love this character and am really pleased to read the news today on Digital Spy that he's coming back. A Corrie source told Digital Spy that Tommy visits the cobbles as a surprise for Jack during his 'welcome home' party.

Tommy returns to the show as a surprise for Jack Webster, who's had his foot amputated in the Sepsis storyline.

And it's been rumoured by the tabloids that while in Weatherfield, Tommy embarks on a fling with Michelle Connor. Could be a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to this one.

Want a Weatherfield County t-shirt? It's here.

Sounds great! (except for the Michelle fling part)

I think the fling would be great if he takes Michelle away with him.

Why on earth are they bringing Nick Tillsley back? His done on the show was done as far as I am concerned. He burned all his bridges. Who will he hook up with this time: Leanne, Carla, Toyah? I found him to be incredibly boring. Sorry, I will not miss Gary Windass one bit when he leaves!
