ITV Coronation Street have revealed a behind-the-scenes special effects secret. It certainly had me wondering about it when I saw it on Friday night's Corrie.

Anyone who has ever watched a CGI-rich film (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit etc etc) would know this was done by green screen. Widely used in TV programmes for years.
Well anonymous, there were a LOT of people on Facebook who asked if the actor had really lost his leg. I think a lot people couldn't believe a show like Corrie would use CGI, even if they'd seen it in movies.
Ah, Facebook - say no more Zagg, nudge nudge, wink wink.
Corrie has used CGI in the past, notably for the tram crash.
what a coincidence, little Jack was in that too!
So now they fit him with a prosthetic foot/lower leg and we are done with this PSA.
