Inside Soap magazine will open voting for the Inside Soap Awards 2018 on Tuesday 24 July at 10am.
Voting is via a form in the print magazine or the website www.insidesoap.co.uk.
This year, Inside Soap is adding a new category to the Inside Soap Awards. The open category will see readers nominate their ‘Soap Superstar’ for 2018.
Has a star’s real-life charm, style or attitude caught your eye? Or perhaps you’ve been impressed by their off-screen endeavours? Or maybe just watching them brightens up your weekday evenings because you think they’re really cute! It’s your award – so who wins it is up to you!”
Inside Soap editor Steven Murphy said: “The past year in soapland has been one of the most dramatic yet! We’ve enjoyed stunning performances, breathtaking stunts, hilarious scripts and heart-wrenching storylines. The readers of Inside Soap adore their visits to Walford, Weatherfield, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and beyond – so there’s no one better than them to pick the winners at this year’s prestigious Inside Soap Awards.
"Meanwhile, through interviews and features in Inside Soap, as well as the rise of social media, there has been no time in soap history where viewers feel as close to the actors from their favourite soap, so we’re giving them the chance to award a star they admire with our ‘Soap Superstar’ trophy.”
Voting will close at 5pm on Monday 10 September.
The winners will be announced on Monday 22 October at the Inside Soap Awards event in central London.
