The previews are in for next week’s Corrie and Gemma and Henry practice some landlady/customer role play in the Rovers Return. They begin by helping themselves to the Rovers’ cellar and get roaring drunk trying out various cocktails. Leanne’s furious and throws them out.
Rita reminds Leanne of her own humble beginnings and suggests she cuts Gemma some slack and gives her some guidance on running a pub. Leanne and Toyah suggest Gemma tries running the pub for a day but she overspends at the cash and carry.
Determined to claw back the money she owes Leanne, Gemma impresses Henry with her plans to invent a new cocktail. Gemma’s half price cocktails are a huge hit and she copes brilliantly with drunken revellers, leaving Henry impressed with her people skills. But Chesney is intrigued and concerned when he hears Henry take a suspicious phone call. What is he up to?

Have no interest in this storyline at all. Gemma and Henry? Ridiculous pairing!
I kind of like Gamma and Henry. I can also see her working at the Rover's -- she'd have no problem dealing with unruly punters.
I wonder who the new owners of the Rovers will be - when this comic stop-gap has outstayed it’s welcome. I note, in passing, that Sally has time on her hands now that’s she’s conveniently ceased to be mayor ...

Let's get real. Gemma is not intelligent nor mature enough to run a business. Weatherfield's Vicki Pollard and the Rich Guy are so not believable as a couple. And PLEASE stop showing her eating. It's disgusting.
Gemma and Henry's actions could've gotten the Rovers liquor licence revoked. Instead of learning about how it's run, they got drunk on the job and that's a health code violation.
