Yesterday, we blogged a story to say that Coronation Street had been voted the ultimate ITV programme of all time. And in that blog post, we used the picture of Deirdre behind bars. It's surely one of Coronation Street's most iconic images, ever. This has started me wondering which other pictures are the most iconic images of Corrie throughout its history?
We've had blog posts in the past asking for fans' favourite and most iconic Corrie accessories - Hilda Ogden's curlers won that one!
But if you had to choose one image, just one, from the whole range of publicity pics that Corrie have ever produced, which one would you say is the most iconic? Which one picture, for you, sums up everything you love about Coronation Street?
I'll keep an eye on your comments to see if I can produce a blog post in a few days time with the pictures you feel are the most iconic.

Good question...
I'd say Hilda's leaving do.

That wonderful community spirit Corrie has always had.
ena on the balcony
Even though it was before my time as a viewer, I love the photo of Ena Sharples looking over Manchester from a balcony.
I would say Hilda mourning her husband Stan, cradling his glasses saying 'Oh Stan'. That scene choked me up.
Ena on the balcony. It's such a magical shot.
The balcony shot of Ena really is beautiful.
Hilda with Stan's glasses is definitely iconic, Roy and Hayley's first kiss by the lake is another one i love or the shot of Hayley writing on the window at the Amsterdam airport and the look of Joy in Roy's face when he realizes she's coming back with him.
Another vote for Ena on the balcony from episode 565. See here:

I can't say anything about "iconic", but the one image that sums up everything I love about Corrie is Becky McDonald holding a sledgehammer.
Two of my favourite actors....when Mike Baldwin died on the cobbles in Ken Barlow's arms, after suffering a heart attack... The conclusion of 30 stellar years for him and the fire of emotions between the two of them, over that time..... Classic!
