THE CRASH SENDS SHOCKWAVES THROUGH THE STREET.
As Carla’s life hangs in the balance will Tracy resolve to help her or will she keep quiet and leave her arch enemy trapped in the bus as it plunges headlong into the quarry below? Meanwhile shocked to the core, Steve sits in silence, petrified. The police and ambulance teams arrive at the crash site and tend to the injured. As Alya clutches a head wound, Kirk pleads with Sinead to wake up. Will everyone make it out alive? The police approach Steve, wanting to question him. As Michelle helps Steve to his feet he finally breaks down admitting to Michelle there’s something seriously wrong with him and that the doctor reckons he’s suffering from depression. Well as Ali King isnt going anywhere I would make an educated guess that Carla is rescused by Tracy and they then form a "bond". Frosty is still fuming that the pointless Andrea was not on that coach but still hangs around the Rovers even with Lloyd gone.

Yes, i agree. What a wasted opportunity. There are many pointless characters that could've been on that bus (or under it) Kal, Kals Dad, Andrea, Maddie, Izzy, Sean, Michelle, my advice to the next Producer...don't do any car crash stunts unless useless characters are killed off. Classic soap cliffhangers only work when viewers get satisfaction from seeing a baddie or unpopular character get killed off.

I don't think Tracy and Carla will bond but i do think Tracy will use it as leverage over Carla. "I saved your life!!!"

Perfect chance to redeem Tracy after all these years. Not right now, but when they write Deidre out, Carla can help her through it and Tracy emerges as a human being? We can hope?

I so agree..What a shame that the awful Andrea wasn't toppled over the edge of the cliff! One of the worst characters to hit the street ever!! Good storyline this one although a bit predictable.

Soap cliché 3093: while a dreadful disaster is happening, the Rovers regulars must be oblivious to the event, singing or playing games. Great dramatic effect in 1964, but has worn a bit thin over the last 50 years. What's the first thing the walking wounded do after an accident and the ambulance has been called? Use your mobile (and there was some signal) and ring your family.

So agree Frosty! I had lingering hopes that Andrea would somehow be on that mini-bus and be the one killed, as spoilers hinted at a while ago...which now we know were untrue. Just what is the point of keeping the increasingly annoying Andrea on the show with Lloyd gone for who knows how long....and just why is she the fountain of information regarding Streetcars....I guess since she was able to troll through their accounts recently, she somehow has assumed a place in this business. Very bad turn of events!

I also agree that there wasa wasted oppurtunuity in a overhyped storyline to cull some deadwood like Andrea and Sean.As for Michelle[who I also wouldn't miss]if she was on the coach, how is it she got out without a scratch and still fully made-up?

It seemed like a good stunt with good acting just I don't see where this goes storyline wise. This was another stunt that was promised to "change the street forever" but I can't see this being that big a deal a year from now. Looks also like Sinead is paralysed permanently for a few weeks.

On a different note what did everyone think of the dedication to Anne Kirkbride at the end? Seemed a bit strange to have it be an episode set in a hospital but then much rather that then a normal boring episode featuring the Nazirs and their chickens.

@George, it was the first episode to air after her death was announced, which is when they have been posting them of late. At least it was a good episode where you actually wanted to pay attention.

I was skeptical of this storyline but so far I thought it has been well told, focused on the relationships. As far as not calling home, I can't believe Julie had enough presence to stick with her call for ambulance services. Felt for Maddie who saw other victims being greeted by family and hers wasn't there. And of course Sinead will walk again, just like Sophie.

This Canadian gal is coming from the opposite opinion to the previous posters....I adore Andrea & Lloyd....and am thrilled that Michelle & Steve will be back together soon... Hoping that Sinead and Chesney will tie the knot down the road as well....
