Alison King splits with her fiance, says The Sun
The Sun reports today that Coronation Street actress Alison King, who plays Carla Connor, has split up with her fiance Adam Huckett.
Our old friend, a source tells The Sun: “There haven’t been any big rows. It’s been a difficult decision, especially because they have so many joint friends on the set. It’s not an ideal situation coming face-to-face with your ex-fiance every day. But they’re determined to stay good mates and want to make it very clear that there isn’t anyone else involved.”
Alison and Adam have three-year-old daughter Daisy Mae. The couple will still see each other on an almost daily basis because Adam works as a sound assistant on Corrie.

Carla coming back, awful. That voice, grates everytime I hear it.
Sad news. I hope the media leave her alone because unlike other Corrie actors such as Kym Marsh Lomas, Michelle Keegan, Catherine Tyldesley etc - Alison King seems a very private person. I doubt she will want to go and sell her story to OK magazine.
Thank God Carla will be back soon though. It has been dreadful without her and Peter.
I find Carla's delivery a bit strange. It sounds flat and monotone without a lot of range unlike, say, Sally Webster. I've missed Peter and Leanne's sparring matches; much more fun to watch than if they were reconciled. I'm getting used to Carla, though, and Alison King can act most of her colleagues off the screen.
I hate Carla's voice. Ugh! Hate it. Not looking forward to her coming back.

So it won't be long before Carla sways onto those cobbles. She has really been missed and I can't wait for her to come back.
But I'm hoping that when she returns with Peter, we won't have to watch Peter, Leanne and Nick arguing over Simon like before. I'd like Leanne to make her mind up. Either decide she wants to be with Nick or stop using the poor sap. Failing that, she could always leave and give Peter HIS son back. Her hypocrisy and self righteous whining gets on my wick and I certainly wouldn't miss her.
I'm looking forward to Carla and Peter's comeback though. I've really missed Alison King and Chris Gascoyne's chemistry.
Can't wait for Alison King's return. She's the most interesting character and a very talented actress
