On Wednesday 8th December at 5.15pm, Debbie Oates, Coronation Street writer will be talking at a University of Manchester Media Club event about what it’s like to write for the UK’s most successful television soap.
She will also draw on her experience of writing for hit series such as Fat Friends, Robin Hood, Primeval, Brookside and many more. Debbie’s successful career includes writing for television, radio and the theatre. She has a degree in English and Drama from Bristol University and a PhD in Women’s Studies from the University of Manchester.
If you are interested in television, radio or the theatre, this is your chance to hear from an established writer and learn how they work with producers and directors.
