Coronation Street writer profile: Ellen Taylor

A new Coronation Street writer has joined the ranks with Ellen Taylor penning her first Corrie episode aired on Monday 20th December 2010.

Ellen has worked in various capacities as a storyliner, producer and writer on a range of television shows. She worked at Sky Television as a drama script editor before moving on to be the lead writer on two series of hit series Dream Team. In 2005 she moved to the BBC, where she worked as the sole storyliner on the BAFTA-winning Series 21 of Casualty and ran the script department. This led to a position writing on and running the story department for the following season.

Since then she has been an in-house development producer for the BBC, where she co-created and developed the teen drama series Mirror, Mirror for BBC3. Further details of her work there can be found here.
