AMAZING tram crash preview

There's an amazing preview of next week's action on ITV.com. (Youtube available here)

I have to say I was absolutely blown away by how realistic the character's reactions looked, it does indeed look "spectacular" and "human" at the same time, like Phil Collinson said it would be. And all of the Coronation Street cast looks to be present. I cannot wait!

no no NO!
I refuse to partake in anything 'tram crashy' until Monday night!

Woe betide the jerk who DOES upset my viewing - may they pre-empt my fiery deathball of wrath!!

I'm gonna try my best to resist the temptation to watch that.

absolutely stunning.

As a director, I wish I had the opportunity to direct those episodes...Wow.

Maybe I'll get a go at the 60th anniversary ;-)

oh my god. that is all i have to say, if the preview is going to be anything like the preview is, i'm sure this is going to SPECTACULAR. This will be remembered for a very very long time. And it shows how the show has progressed, but still kept to its roots. I do hope that the 50th anniversary isnt just doom and gloom and is full of the humor that we love. I hope phil collinson keeps up the good work and keeps producing amazing story lines

Can't watch the preview as I don't live in the UK. While I am sure it will be spectacluar, I must admit I have mixed feelings about this. I've just been watching the 40th anniversary live show again on YouTube and found it so uplifting, so full of reminscence and pride and joy and fun that I'm not sure I want so much doom and gloom on the 50th. Will still be watching it though, of course!

Isn't anyone else just a bit uneasy about the whole notion of inflicting a massive, devastating catastrophe on Britain's best-loved soap?

The Lockerbie re-run inflicted on Emmerdale a few years back was pretty laughable, and I never thought we'd see Corrie following suit a few years later.

Spectacular it may be, but it ain't that nice.

well, they need an excuse to give the set a make-over for the HD filming so there was only real route they could take.

that or have a story line about the government wanting to 're-vitalize' Weatherfield.

It seems superb - I say "seems" because once again the ITV Player moves along with all the pace of an arthritic snail on mogadon so I hear the voices and the picture occasionally jerks along to match it (and yes, I do have broadband). I'll wait for it to appear on youtube.

Resistance is futile so I took the plunge. Superb! And that's just the promo.

Absolutely stunning. Unfortunately I've just learned I have tech rehearsal on Monday which is very likely to go on until around 10pm! I've devestated! Thank God for ITV player, so I can watch it as soon as I get in. (Might try that trick of Julie Walters', humming the Corrie theme pointedly as it gets nearer to 7.30!)
