In today's fab Inside Soap magazine there's a promo for the Inside Soap Awards (have you voted yet?). And Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter Barlow on Coronation Street, reveals that Peter is going to form an unlikely alliance with Carla Connor.
"It's not about romance," says Chris but the magazine says the story is going to lead to a whole load of trouble. I wonder what it could be? Whatever it is, it sounds good to me!

I smell an alcoholic storyline!
What an amazing pairring lol!! :D
Ye-e-es! Now you're talking!!
Ooooh nooooo, what about Simon???? Can you just see Carla packing his lunch and getting him off to school. Or hanging around with Ken and Dierdre?
I think craig is right, probably to do with the rumoured alcohol problem Carla develops
Yes, I think it's to do with Carla's rumoured alcohol problem where Carla inadvertantly stumbles into an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at which Peter is present.
But it doesn't sound good to me! I'm not particularly keen on either character if I'm being honest. Peter Barlow is just an oafish BORE (like father like son as they say) and as for Carla I've long been of the opinion that she is more of an Eastenders character who simply does not belong in Weatherfield.
Personally, I'd like to see Leanne (or OUR LEN, as Janice always says) hook up with that slimeball, Nick Tilsley. That should guranatee a few fireworks in Weatherfield!
No he will also ruin Carla :'C
