Denise Welch, who played Coronation Street pub landlady Natalie Barnes, visited children undergoing treatment for cancer at the teenage cancer unit, at the RVI, in Newcastle.The £1.7m unit was opened earlier this year and provides care for 13 to 18-year-olds from the North-East and Cumbria.

Ugh, I think this is a lovely thing, but I also think it's terrible that things like a "teen" (or children) cancer unit even exists! Just shouldn't happen :(

Sadly, it happens to the most wonderful people. But this particular unit which Denise visited is an amazing place and I know they're doing some wonderful work there.
Nice that she did that - hope it did some good.
