Who are you and where are you from?

Hiya or as Betty Williams would say ay up duck.
My name is Calvin and Coronation Street as been in my life since I was born. My mum is a fan and my dad was a fan, in fact my late dad could remember being 8 years old and being excited when the 1st ever episode aired.

How long have you been watching Corrie?

My earliest memory is being sad when Steph Barnes shaved Kevin Webster's moustache off in 1991 and Lisa Duckworth's death back in 1993 when she dropped her purse on the road.

Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
Bet Gilroy, Deirdre Barlow, Jenny Conner, Hayley Cropper, Roy Cropper, Raquel Watts, Maxine Peacock, Annie Walker, Ena, Betty Williams, Rita tanner and Elsa Tanner.

What have been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?

I remember in mid to late nineties getting the official Coronation Street magazine every month, and I got the spin-offs Viva las Vegas, Women of Coronation Street, DVD, Out of Africa, Romanian Holiday and A Knight's Tale. Did anyone else get the free book after ITV screened the episode on TV?

And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?

Enjoying the ITV3 reruns of seeing classic characters and storylines from the nineties. Nowadays episodes with Yasmeen and Geoff are very hard viewing but superb writing and acting, wondering what is Johnny hiding from Jenny, nice to see Roy family extended with Nina, also enjoy Roy and Carla scenes,

Hope everyone is well
Take care Calvin Saxton

I didn't know there was a magazine! Do you still have any of them? I've got the Women of Coronation Street video, really good to have Hilda in it too.
