Corrie death! Who will die when Underworld falls down?

In the back pages of most print magazines they print teasers about the content of the forthcoming edition of the mag, to get the reader hooked in the hope they'll buy the magazine next week. And so it is this week with the wonderful Inside Soap magazine who bring us a few snippets of 'Death on the Street' this week.

Here's what they say!

"Weatherfield is rocked to its foundations as disaster strikes Underworld! With nothing left but a pile of ruins, boss Carla is devastated to realise that her friends and workers are trapped beneath the wreckage.

While bodies are pulled free, there's much worse to come as it transpires that not everyone will emerge alive.

But as the Street mourns the loss of one of its own, which resident is to blame for their death?"

Oh 'eck, etc.

As we've read that Rana will be leaving the Street, it's too obvious for her to be the casualty. She'll have a dramatic exit of her own. I think it will be Shona though I've no idea why she should be in the factory unless she's come to see Sarah. There's a lot of potential build-up to this with David wanting to marry Shona after their reconciliation. It would plunge David into a long period of depression having to deal with another death of a loved one. If Nick is found to be responsible for the roof collapse, it will trigger a feud between Nick and David with Gail not knowing who to support. No-brainer, really, but that's Gail. We haven't heard that the actress is leaving but that would give the game away.

I have a feeling it could be either Gina or Izzie. To be perfectly honest I wouldn't miss either character.

I think it will be Rana too, it could set Kate Connor against Carla and punge her into the mental breakdown episode, especially if she lose the factory, Roy, her family and Robert is targeting her.

I think it’s going to be Rana as Carla is set to be isolated from almost everyone, and the wedding and the factory collapse happen the same week. I can’t see Carla’s family turning on her unless it impacts one of them. Lolly is going to perhaps ruin Kate’s or Rana’s outfit leading Rana to be in the factory for the dress to be repaired with Beth; the workers will be out protesting (soap spoiler in inside soap) I think a few workers will be injured and hospitalized, particularly Gina which will lead to a reconciliation for Sally.

With the recent spoilers, I’m now thinking it may be Robert who damages the roof. Would make sense as Kym Marsh is set to leave later in the year; maybe when it all comes out? That or my first guess which was Seb.

I’m looking forward to this drama. And I think Alison King will be phenomenal in the Carla centered episode.

My guess was Seb to damage the roof - he's got building experience and a grudge against Gary, so he's got motive and know how to do the sabotage.
I also think it's going to be Rana who gets killed - perhaps trying on her wedding attire.

It is, unfortunately, already confirmed that Rana will die on her wedding day - and the wedding happens that same week. Only one person is set to die during the collapse so unless Rana's death is unconnected - she's the goner.

I feel like its Rana but at the same time I feel like we'd all be cheated because it wasn't a surprise (or *twist* as they love calling it now) at all. A twist would be Rana plus someone else.

I have a feeling Gina might be the one. I remember during Christmas the actress playing her and Sally mentioned there was more to come between the sisters....

I'm concerned about the phone number on the Underworld sign. Do ITV own the phone numbers they display on the set (Streetcars, Websters' Garage, etc)?
And rather than just be dead numbers, wouldn't it be fun if you got a voice mail from the actor concerned?
I seriously have too much time on my hands.

I just dialed the factory number and it says "The number you have dialed is not recognised". What a shame. I was going to place a big order too!

What I really want to know is how they get insurance on that factory! How many times has it been damaged over the years?

I don't think anyone will be killed off but there will be serious injuries hence more hospital scenes.
Like the bus crash story line years ago which lead to Steve's depression,I think the factory roof collapse is nothing more than an over hyped story line in which no one of significance will die but only lead to Carla's breakdown nothing more.
