Andy’s had opportunities to escape from Pat Phelan’s clutches – and next week in Coronation Street he’s going to come up with a plan to get away, at last.
Andy concocts a scheme whereby Phelan will free him from the cellar but he’ll be guaranteed of his silence when Andy commits a crime of his own.
Phelan’s shocked as Andy argues he then couldn’t grass up Phelan to the police without implicating himself.
But, will it work and will Phelan fall for it?

I sure do hope he escapes...alive!
I am so sick of the implausible story lines in Corrie St. lately...first of all Andy..please how insulting to the viewer to think that we could buy into this! Secondly, the whole Will story line..come on..give us some credit for intelligence...and please get rid of Gina..so irritating and ridiculous. Get rid of Daniel...and how did Tod all of a sudden become a lawyer?? Surely to goodness the Corrie writer's can come up with more credible stories than those they have tried to unload on us lately. When's Carla coming back? And don't even get me started on the Gary and Nicola nonsense.
Jeanie (anon):
Surely Andy and Phelan were in this situation already when they had the big showdown. Phelan had done some horrendous things but Andy would also have seen jail time if he had blabbed (eg. for arson). That's why I've always wondered why Phelan would have bothered to keep him prisoner. He could have let him go after making it clear that Andy would go down with him.
What has Daniel guy to do with all this? And Gina? You can't just say "get rid of such and such" without backing it up
