FAYE CONFRONTS THE FATHER OF HER CHILD. Owen returns home contrite after a night in the cells. Has he been charged with assault? Greg and Josie Hodge arrive with Jackson as Faye hides away in the bedroom, unable to face them. Anna drops the bombshell that Faye has had a baby and claims the father is Jackson. Jackson denies that he’s ever been near Faye and his parents immediately leap to his defence. Faye emerges from the bedroom upset and calls him a liar. As a row ensues will the truth come out? Meanwhile Tim tells Sally how much he loves his new granddaughter and how he intends to do everything he can for her. Anna resolves to help Faye bring up the baby as best they can. However when Owen suggests that they could put the baby up for adoption, how will Anna react?
TONY’S HOIST BY HIS OWN PETARD. With Steve at the doctors Liz insists Tony helps out behind the bar. Tony’s fed up of Liz treating him like a general dogsbody. When Liz then surprises him with a lovely meal Tony’s further put out as it soon becomes clear she’s buttering him up as she wants him to finance Steve and Michelle’s wedding. Tony feels he’s being taken for a mug.
EILEEN HEDGES HER BETS When Todd and Sean question Eileen about her date, Eileen’s coy. Todd reckons she should play the field a bit more.
ELSEWHERE Alya shows Carla some of her new designs. Carla’s impressed whilst Sally’s put out and quietly jealous.

Jackson and his parents need to wake up and remember the words DNA. I really hope Anna stops shoving that massive baby in Faye's face and keeps telling her "she is a mother".
Yes, it's a huge baby isn't it? For one supposedly premature too.
I never mind about the babies being bigger than they are supposed to be. I always let that one pass because they can't actually use real newborns.
DNA and counselling for Faye and Anna.
Better get them on Jeremy Kyle !!!
Where are the social workers to help the Windass family deal with this life-changing event? Where are the education officials to offer Faye schooling in a unit for young mums? Anna doesn't have to give up her job as there are a range of benefits and available services. The writers aren't keeping it real and they seem determined to make Anna even more of a martyr. In the end, though, I'm pretty sure the baby will be adopted otherwise the storyline will be too much like Sarah's.
Humpty well said! In our city we have a school specifically for young mothers (with childcare included). That way the girls get the support and learn of the services available to them. But of course this won't happen on corrie because no one has the brains enough to look into it!
What Humpty and anonymous said - except I really feel this child should be given up for adoption. (Gosh, can Owen be right?)
About the Liz "buttering up" Tony bit, I wouldn't blame him for being annoyed. Steve and Michelle are grown adults and shouldn't be using anyone's money but their own for a wedding.
Even worse that Liz feels it's okay to ask her boyfriend for cash...I can just imagine her reaction if he'd asked her to chip in for Eva and Jason's house!
