Preview of tonight's double Corrie - Monday 13 April

Monday 13th April
SARAH TAKES THE LEAD WITH CALLUM. Gail tells Michael they’re having a family meal that evening as Sarah and Bethany are returning to Italy tomorrow, although Bethany doesn’t know it yet! As the family sit down to dinner in the bistro, Callum heads over, apologising to David for calling on Max uninvited earlier and promising to make proper arrangements in future. After a phone call from Uncle Stephen, Sarah leaves the party and heads home to email him an urgent document. Callum flirts with Sarah and suggests he could help her with the email. Will Sarah succumb to his charms?
OWEN WONDERS WHAT’S KEEPING HIM IN WEATHERFIELD. Faye blames herself for Owen and Anna’s splitting up and reckons if she could give the baby away everything could go back to normal. Owen assures her it’s not her fault and he hopes to build bridges with Anna. On hearing this how will Anna react? Can they salvage their relationship?
TRACY PLAYS TONY LIKE A FIDDLE. When Liz orders Tony to sort out the plumbing in the ladies’ loos, Tracy smirks. As Tracy sees Ken off to the cinema she clocks Tony watching. Tracy instructs him to sneak down the ginnel and come in round the back.
ELSEWHERE Carla opens an important looking letter and tells Nick that she has now officially changed her name back to Connor. Fed up with having to lie for Andy, Gail tells him how Susan keeps texting, wanting to know when she can visit Michael. Can she continue to fob Susan off?

Monday 13th April
SARAH SLEEPS WITH THE ENEMY. Once inside No.8, Sarah and Callum tear at each other’s clothes and kiss passionately. Over dinner, Andy lets slip to Bethany that she and Sarah are returning to Italy tomorrow. Bethany’s furious and resolves to go and have it out with Sarah. Declaring the evening ruined, David and Max follow. As Sarah and Callum head upstairs, David, Max and Bethany arrive. Callum slips out of the backdoor as Bethany rampages round the house. David’s suspicious but Sarah covers, handing Bethany some sweets in an attempt to calm her down. Bethany’s unusually reasonable, telling Sarah she’s decided to be mature and is ready to return to Italy. Sarah’s surprised but when Stephen calls her from Milan it all becomes clear. What has Bethany done?
OWEN TRIES ONE LAST THROW OF THE DICE. When Anna makes it clear to Owen she won’t change her mind and they’re finished, Owen drops a bombshell on the family.
TONY AND TRACY GROW CLOSER. Tracy and Tony enjoy an evening of sex at No.1. They agree that they both want more from life and Tracy suggests they should get their own pub.
ELSEWHERE Nick and Carla enjoy an evening in front of the telly with a bottle of wine. They discuss the relationship mistakes they’ve made in the past. Could a romance be brewing between the pair?

The only question that comes to mind with regards to the latest episode of Platt drudgery,is where is little Lily during the Platt Family farewell dinner? She's rarely been seen since Sarah and Bethany arrived.

I guess like a lot of people, I am wondering what the point was in bringing back Sarah and the ridiculously gobby Bethany. Was it just to show what a horrible job Sarah did in raising such a rude kid? The pair of them are pretty hard to watch I have to say. I was actually looking forward to Sarah coming back but was certainly not banking on having this Bethany on my screen. There is nothing about her that is watchable. Why did they have to make her so mean and mouthy? She is so disrespectful to everyone, all the time. I just don't understand it.
Every Corrie forum and every comment sections I have read, the overwhelming majority of fans is wishing this pair back to Italy ASAP. What are these writers doing to this show?

I was actually surprised at how much I dislike Bethanny: I was really looking forward to the character returning. But there is a big difference between "fiesty" and " rude and nasty", and she has been the latter. Not fun to watch her, and I really don't know why she would want to move to the UK: at that age, kids are generally all about their friends.. and she wouldn't have any in the UK!

I think the writers are hoping we'll overlook the fact that Sarah and Bethany went to Milan, and we're under the impression they've jetted in from some distant city in the UK. Bethany might well talk like a Weatherfield kid, having been brought up by Sarah, but she wouldn't have the attitude that she's got. She's behaving like she's always lived there; knows the shops, doesn't have a problem with the currency, hasn't commented on the difference between the two countries. Tone her down, far too OTT.

Humpty very well said! You brought up points I hadn't thought of. All I know for sure watching in Canada I can't stand Bethany what a brat! As for Sarah she certainly hasn't gotten any smarter hooking up with Callum come on! Is she really that hard up.
