Linda wants to reconnect with her now grown daughters but will they feel the same? It sounds like the Windass/Armstrong family is going to have yet another crisis and we'll have more hand wringing from Anna who is going to be worried about Linda's effect on Owen.
Jacqueline is thrilled to be joining the cast (possibly leading to Ian Puleston-Davies' exit?). Stuart Blackburn says
“Linda's arrival will have a devastating affect on how Owen's family see him and he'll have the fight of his life to hold on to everyone and everything he holds dear. The sins of the father really will visit Owen's children."
I reckon it's not so much of a retcon as it is showing that Owen didn't want to be the bad guy in his daughters' eyes. We know he can be a bit of a brute and has in the past been a bit dodgey with his building business. We will find out why his wife left the children with him and legged it to Portugal and it's going to change their relationship with their father.

linda has to have a reason to visit now, and it could be that Izzy either dies or is injured in the minibus crash. I predict a deathbed reconciliation at the hospital. It's not much of a stretch of the imagination to say that Linda left because Owen was knocking her about. She had a chance to go abroad and he made the girls wards of court. Curious to know how she finds out about the accident or, if that's not the reason, where her daughters live.
Another mirrored with Emmerdale story with the Bartons. Lost mother who left her kids to be brought up by the Da returns.
A few people on here seem to be speculating that Izzy will be killed off but I have not read anywhere that Cherilee Huson is leaving? Doe anyone know?
Even though the producers are supposedly keeping the story secret you can gaurantee it will all be revealed via "fab interview with Stuart Blackburn" within about a month so if Izzy is dying then you won't be waiting long to find out.
I always liked the idea of their mum being useless while Owen is a responsible parent. It was a refreshing change to the useless dad stereotype but it seems sadly that will be ruined.
EastEnders in the 90s - Lorraine, Joe, Grant, Sarah and Tony. Now that was good stuff!!
