Brace yourself! Cilla Battersby-Brown returns in tonight's Coronation Street
The ITV preview for tonight says this about her return: "Aware that Roy doesn’t like being alone in
his flat, Tyrone and Fiz invite him for dinner with Chesney and Sinead.
But when there’s a knock at the door everyone’s stunned as Cilla
enters, clutching an overnight bag with her wrist in plaster. How will
Fiz and Chesney react?"
I'm right looking forward to seeing her return - and how she'll interact with Beth too. It could be good.

LOVE Cilla!!!!

I'm afraid I found Cilla's return rather underwhelming, as was the whole of the episode.
Something is not right when the highlight of an episode is Annie Walker getting a casual mention by someone who never even knew her.
Liz may not have known Annie Walker but she was a legend and Liz certainly would have heard about her from first Bet and Betty when she first worked in the pub and later over the years from Deirdre, Emily, Rita etc. I recall that there used to be a photo of Annie Walker in the back room. I remember Vera looking at it and wondering how AW managed to do it even into advancing years.
Cilla's return was interesting. She genuinely seemed sorry to hear about Hayley and was quite gentle with Roy. She seemed sincere about that. But I agree with Ches and Fiz, she wants something.
