ITV Job Vacancy: Fisher Boom Operator at Coronation Street

This just in from ITV Jobs.

Our sound team is an integral part of making the world's longest-running TV Serial Drama currently in production.

We are looking for a fully experienced studio fisher boom operator with a proven track record in a multi camera studio environment to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be instrumental in the acquisition of first class sound for Coronation Street, ensuring that it is captured to the required standard for network broadcast.

You will be responsible for the technical rigging and de-rigging of studios and locations involving working at height and manual handling. You will be responsible for quick reporting of equipment defect or damage and the loading up and safe return of all sound kit.

This role will require you to work within the budget and timescale limitations imposed by the production. There may be times when you are required to multi skill across grades in the sound department in order to achieve full utilisation.

Applicants should have some experience within a broadcast media background. You will have strong studio and location skills on both the fisher boom and pole. You will have a flexible working approach with a willingness to go the extra mile, as there are times that you may be required to work unsociable hours. You will have a keen interest in sound including keeping up to date on new technology and sound capture techniques

This role is based in Manchester but a driving licence is required as this role may involve some travel due to the location element of the role.

ITV is a great place to work. So, if you thrive in a fast paced environment and you possess the skills and experience that will help us achieve our goals, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date for applications: 29th May
