Eddie Yeats - a tribute

With the recent passing of Geoffrey Hughes, who played Eddie Yeats, I've paid a homage to the character through photos. As they say, a picture tells a thousand words.

Included in the collage with Eddie are the Ogdens, Bet, Betty, Eddie's wife Marion, Ena and Minnie.

I had always hoped that Eddie and Marion had a long and happy life together off-screen. Lovely character, beautifully played.

What a wonderful tribute! I had really hoped one day, we would see Eddie pushing Hilda down the street in her wheelchair. He was always one of my favorite characters. RIP Eddie.

That's lovely! There have been lots of nice tributes in the newspapers too.

I still say he and Fiz could be related somehow.

Great character, one of my all time favourites; the show isn't as good as it was in those days imo. RIP

PS:-I wonder what became of Veronica doran who played his screen missus, Marion. I've never seen her in anything else?
