Sneak preview of tonight's double Corrie - Monday 5 December at 7.30 & 8.30

Coronation Street, Monday 5 December at 7.30pm
Stella’s abandoned in her hour of need. Stella’s got her work cut out with Lloyd’s accounts but after a long day it’s done and he has the files to send off to audit. In awe Lloyd offers a heartfelt thankyou before Stella races back to the pub as she‘s got a hen do in. But at the Rovers Stella’s stressed to hear Tina hasn’t arrived for her shift as her car’s been clamped. Rushing to the cab office she asks Lloyd to get in touch with Karl as she’s got a crisis at the pub. Lloyd gets straight on the switch but Karl doesn’t reply. Where is Karl?
Sally defends Frank in the Rovers. When Carla receives a box of silk addressed for Frank (for his big Leydon order) it’s not long before Anne and Sally arrive at Underworld demanding she hands it over. Rallying round Carla the staff claim they know nothing of the delivery but when they later walk into to the pub all wearing garments made from Frank’s expensive silk Sally’s outraged and turns on Carla.
Tina runs into more problems with the police. When Tina and Kirsty have another spat, and Tyrone sides with Tina, Kirsty’s left fuming. Tina’s then stunned when her car is later clamped and towed away. Could the two incidents be related?
Elsewhere as Sophie and Sian plan for their civil partnership Sophie’s in the driving seat, keen to put Amber behind her. Peter’s thrown into turmoil when Emily asks him to make a speech at Friday’s tram crash memorial service.

Monday 5 December at 8.30pm
Lloyd finds solace in Stella. With Karl still not answering his phone Stella’s left to deal with the hen do alone. But just as the party descends into chaos Lloyd arrives and gets behind the bar. They make a good team and as they clear up at the end of the night Stella offers him a drink to say thanks. The atmosphere’s warm as Stella tells Lloyd Cheryl was a fool to let him go. Misreading the signals Lloyd kisses Stella. How will she react and will Karl realise what’s going on when he rushes in making an excuse about running out of petrol? (Nb. Karl was really at the casino gambling.)
Peter runs into Carla after a crisis. Peter reveals to Ken that the anniversary of the tram crash has hit him like a sledgehammer and has made him think about things he’s tried to forget. Struggling as the residents meet to discuss the memorial service he makes an excuse and leaves. Bumping into Carla, who’s upset after her run in with Sally, both admit they could murder a drink. Will either succumb?
Sally tacitly assures Frank she’s on her side. As Sally works late Frank thanks her for her support. He feels obliged to ask if she minds being alone with him, in light of his rape charge. As Sally assures him she’s fine we sense they are growing closer.
Elsewhere Tina’s forced to pay the clampers a hefty fee to have Rita’s car released. Back at home she’s convinced it’s Kirsty’s doing, will another row ensue?

Why dont Lloyd and Steve just get in a proper accountant, instead of the "lady down the pub!"? Or get Eileen in, didnt she do the books and Owens too? Anyone notice Spike from Hi di Hi as the auditor?

The Inland Revenue Customs and Excise, are extremely short staffed, have suffered HUGE staff cut backs in recent years and have issued public apologies for being 'years' behind schedule.

(They recently sent out nine million more tax error letters than the six million it originally planned over miscalculations that go back to 2004).

And yet, AND YET, they have time to break from their usual method of posting a letter informing you that your business has been selected for an inspection, to release an actual tax inspector from his duties, for nothing more than a helpful, friendly chat with Lloyd - in place of what a letter usually covers?

- BEFORE the inspection commences???

Could only happen in soapland, LOL.

LLoyd makes a pass at Stella? Oh he is just so heartbroken...NOT.
Any why Stella? Why didn't he try it on with Becky who is just as supposedly heartbroken as he is..and they got so trashed toegether...would have made more sense instead of this riduculous scenario.

I think Lloyd would be too scared of Becky to make a pass at her lol! Making a pass at someone when you're as vulnerable and hurting as Lloyd is, that's understandable and again, a soap staple plot device. I think Stella will knock him back though.

Becky did once make a pass at Lloyd when they were all living together with Kelly, so that's been done before.

Mind you, that wouldn;t be a reason for the PTB not to go down that route.

The only way I can see this working for Lloyd and Stella is that he needs a bit of mothering and she seems happy to provide it for half the street. And though she may, at first, reject Lloyd, she will have partner problems so they may find solace together.
