A wedding and a kiss for Corrie at Christmas

We have two more Christmas spoilers for you today.

First, as you can see from the photo, there will indeed be a wedding for Sian and Sophie. The girls have matching strapless fluffy dresses which look quite pretty. But, with Sophie's growing attraction to Amber after their one drunken kiss the other week, we don't know yet if the wedding will go through. Seeing as Sascha Parkinson is leaving, there's a good possibility it won't or won't be a very long marraige if it does.

Edited to add: There's more information here on the Daily Mail with more pics too. They reckon Sian will leave Sophie at the altar when she finds out about Amber.

There's also more news on the Sally and Frank speculation that we brought to the table the other day. It says here that Frank and Sally will share a kiss under the mistletoe. Sally and Frank grow closer after her recent breakup with Jeff and as we all know, Sally's head gets turned quite easily by someone with a bit of power. I still think she'll end up being instrumental in helping Carla's case against Frank and end up humiliated as usual, having to admit she was wrong. I wonder if she'll go crawling back to Carla for her job back?

They both look pretty in white but the fact that we know Sian is leaving and this is all going to go pear shaped just makes a total mockery of marraige and civil ceremonies. Same with Kieran getting wed to Michelle and then leaving after 3 weeks.

Oh dear. I for one am NOT looking forward to this wedding. I used to like Sophie but find the 2 of them very annoying to watch onscreen now. Also not looking forward to Sally and Frank's possible affair -- I thought Sally had more sense and don't particularly fancy watching someone who's been through everything she's been through being damaged over and over!

Sally seems to have a history of involvement with abusive men; perhaps it's some compulsion that attracts her to their personalities? Do we know anything about Sally's father?

Sally's father was apparently rough with her mother when he'd been drinking.

Heres how I think it will go: Sally will sleep with Frank, somehow find out he did infact rape Carla, help put Frank to Prison and as a way of saying thanks Carla will give Sally her job back. Oh and then Fiz/Julie (And Every1 else at Johns Funeral)will forgive Sally

What a joke if this is true.

Doesn't Sophie look bad tempered all the time. I swear this girl only does one emotion, even in this picture her eyebrows are furrowed and she looks as though she's stomping around like she usually does. And I'll be my life she's wearing her ugg's under that dress. There's nothing feminine about the character so she looks wrong. To dress them the same looks very strange. Sian can carry this off, but Stompy Sophie uh uh!

How are they supposed to be paying for all this considering she was pleading "please please please Dad,I'm sorry I'll pay your back" a few months ago. If Dev's corner shop pays that well no wonder he's in finacial trouble! She's always on the scrounge, trying to beg from Sally for a holiday a week or so ago. Such a short memory - so finances alone should say that this story is an absolute dive bomb before it starts!

Phil Collinson trying to rush through a lesbian wedding before anybody else does it that's what it is. All for Christmas ratings and 'aren't we clever because we did it first'! Rather than do it properly and show two young girls, save, get a flat, plan the wedding in a more positive, responsible light.

To want to sensationalise it is making lesbians seem different. This story would have been bigger, built up over time, showing Sophie and Rosie as a normal couple in love, planning a wedding! Phil Collinson, in my humble opinion, would have achieved more.

Their ceremony is already shaping up to be filled with more plot holes than the sunken Titanic. I went to a relative's civil partnership on Saturday and it was lovely, but this seems to be an unrealistic portrayal- for a start, they can't even take place in places of worship. The whole thing feels very predictable and an easy way to ensure Sian's exit.

These two have to be one of the dullest and most unineresting and annoying couples on Corrie's history. Who cares if the silly pair suddenly have all this money to waste for a 5 minute wedding. If Phil Collinson dumbly thinks this farce is going to draw in the viewers for a "must see" at Christmas then he ought to think again, who is advising him I would like to know!

I like these two young actresses, but they are under used like a few more characters on Corrie. I think this story is being rushed when more time should have been given to it so its portrayed correctly. It would have been nice to see the relationship grow, see them having fun, dealing with life difficulties etc. moving in together, saving for a wedding etc.. More would have been achieved if a little more thought had gone into this story

I really like these characters and think they are both brilliant actresses, but they're rushing this too much. Instead of starting it from when Sachas exit was announced and letting the storyline build over a few months, they've shoved everything into 2 months and made so many plot holes. While a lot of fans wanted a wedding for those two, this is not how they wanted it. In a few years, maybe where it might then be the slightest bit believable. i think the way they've gone about doing this storyline is pretty bad and is even turning their fans against the characters! Not a good way to say goodbye to a great actress on the show!
