Coronation Street has had its fair share of strong female characters over the years but there is one you have never seen – maybe never even heard of - and she’s been patiently waiting for her turn in the spotlight: Fat Brenda. Played by Steve Huison – star of The Full Monty and Coronation Street.
Fat Brenda: A Tale of Streetcars and Desire, is a night in the life of the often mentioned yet never seen Streetcars’ switchboard operator; a hilarious often touching story of one woman’s attempt to leave behind her anonymous and humdrum existence and finally get a life of her own.
