Katherine Kelly, who plays Becky McDonald in Coronation Street, will be leaving Corrie at the end of the year, and TV bosses are keen to devote a show to Becky, says the Daily Star.
The show, if it does go ahead, looks set to be called Farewell Becky.

Couldn't they call it "Good Riddance Becky, instead"?
Never was a character so far past her sell by. Now we have boring sidelines with "Becky working in the factory" where of course they definitely needed an extra packer for about 7 machinists, just treading water until her exit.
Like the character or not, Becky has run the gamut of emotions and then some.
If she'd had her finger on the pulse, the actress might have left Corrie at a high or higher point, rather than the opposite.

And that differs from the regular episodes how, exactly?
I really wish they would have let Becky settle down. I like Katherine Kelly and will miss her when she's gone, but unless they pulled a Dallas they wouldn't be able to redeem her after all of the horrid story lines they've put her through.
