Is Tyrone better off without Molly?
So, she's finally gone and left him. Poor Tyrone, it was heart-breaking, it really was. But do you think Tyrone is better off without Molly or should he take her back? Me? I reckon it's time he got back together with Fiz.

I was never a Corrie watcher when he was with Fiz! How interesting! Why did the two break up? They seem perfectly suited to each other tempermentally, that is. Molly wants to keep changing, developing -- that's her right. Ty wants to enjoy and savor what he's got -- what he's always wanted: a Fred and Wilma Flintstones or Jack and Vera Duckworth type life...
OR Tyrone and Natasha, Tyrone and Theresa (oh yuk...forget that!), Ty and Maria (oh, actually please...don't bring that actress back!), Ty and Julie (not bad!), Ty and Becky, Ty and Janice (she's a bit hardcore and older, but could work as a younger man-mature woman hookup)...and so on as the marraiges go 'round in Corrie...
It was all a little too close to home for me. My partner and I had almost a similar scenario over Christmas. More questions than there are answers and him leaving me. Like Tyrone, I've gone through every single emotion since resulting in a bout of depression. It would be good if they showed Tyrone going through that because it's more in keeping with what happens when a partner walks out of a relationship and there just doesn't seem to be any visible reason for someone leaving and the person left behind having to cope with living within the memories at home reliving painful memories and regarding the good times as a form of punishment.
The thing is, Tyrone never found out about Kevin, so there's all the stuff there about 'not being good enough' and of course, he's going to be blaming himself for a lot of things - some of them relevant, most of them not.
He'll end up wondering why she wants him to write off their entire relationship because she just doesn't love him or want to be with him any more. It'll be tough for him.
He's a victim in all this, just like I am. There's been no physical damage done, but the emotional damage is as great as if he'd been hit by a car.
I'm still going through everything here and it's not pleasant being in this position, but you can't help but blame yourself for it all.
It's up to the other person to see the mistakes they made and at least apologise for it all and try to slowly make amends.
Uh, Fiz is married, and contentedly so. Anon2 suggested Natasha - good choice, they're both a bit thick but good hearted. Julie is too smart for him, Janice, Michelle, Theresa & Carla are too old (sorry, but that's still yucky).
My biggest fear is Rosie Webster. Think of all the hideous storylines: the Bosses Daughter, Kevin and his little girl with his best friend, Kevin and remorse for the Molly thingee, Rosie stuck on the street, Sally wanting something better for her family,... I'm already sticking fingers in my ears and screaming La La La I can't hear you.
I would have thought before the affair that Molly and Tyrone were so well suited. I still think they are and the writers shouldn't have messed with them. But they have and it's done. I wonder if Molly is going to be pregnant as was rumoured. If she doesn't know who's the daddy, i can possibly see Tyrone taking her back if the affair doesn't come out. she will be a single mum and Kevin isn't leaving Sally unless Sally finds out and throws him out.
Rosie wouldn't give Tyrone the time of day. I think if Molly isn't back with Tyrone at some point, we need a new factory girl for Tyrone. Someone that might appreciate a good, solid nice-guy.
I used to think Tyrone and Molly were a good couple, I agree with Tvor, I wish they hadn't messed them up. But now Ty is definitely too good for her. I can't really see him getting back with Fiz (I don't really remember them being together!), after all she is happily married and if she was going to leave John for anyone it should be Kirky :)
I think Tyrone should maybe get back with Maria somewhere in the future, when they have both recovered from their awful partners. They would both be looking to settle down and Ty would make a good dad to baby Liam. Aww, sweet.
I think it's all very sad for poor Ty. Maybe in time Molly will see the wrong and mistake she has made, but hoepfully good old Aunty Pam will help them both through it.
Pammy is the one to bring them back together - surely. Molly does listen to her - after all, she's basically her mum and it seems that Pam does have a soft spot for Tyrone.
Molly is best rid of
TBH, I don't care. This is a couple that I don't really show affection to and if any of them left the show, I wouldn't break my heart. Molly's turned out a real bitch imo.
Never mind Tyrone being better off without Molly - it's Molly that's better off without him!
Tyrone is a slovenly BORE, happy to sleepwalk his way through a dead end life with no ambition or prospects!
The only surprise is that she stuck it out 12 months with him!
The relationship is better off over after being tossed in the garbage disposal by the writers the way it has been. I'm not looking forward to seeing this play out - in Canada they're still a happy married couple.
As for Tyrone getting together with Maria, it wouldn't work. It would end up the same way it did with Molly, with her cheating on him, and for the same reason - wanting excitement.
Funny thought - could you imagine a pairing of Kelly with Tyrone? That would make me laugh - I just had a mental image of her throwing a boot at him when he makes some naively honest comment that rubs her the wrong way.
Tyrone is A LOT better off without Molly, she is pure poison, where as Tyrone is a lovely person
Lol at Kelly and Tyrone, it would be funny but I think she would be too high maintenance for Ty. I still quite like the idea of Maria and Tyrone. I don't think Maria would cheat on him now. A few years ago yes, but I think she's grown up a lot in the past couple of years, and her priorities have changed with having baby Liam.
He's definately better off without her, she was so nasty in the end. Not to mind cheating. I also don't think he should get back with Maria, she was always trying to change him (remember the back waxing incident) he needs someone to love him for him. Bless him, he's so cute aswell, like a teddy bear.
I would like to see Molly written out after this. There would be no going back. She has played her part and wouldnt be missed in my humble opinion. They changed her character from a wholesome nice girl to a nasty selfish little cow. Good riddy.
