2. Lembit Opik joins the cast as Frescho's new manager and has a fling with Rosie Webster.
3. Spider pops back to see his Aunty Em.
4. Norris gets intimate with Mary's muu-muu.
5. Gail and Eileen finally stop fighting and release their inner lesbians to each other across the cobbles.
6. Rita leads a sing-a-long.
7. Graeme gets a job at the Rovers' as a transvestite barmaid.
8. Ashley goes on an assertiveness course and finally plucks up enough courage to ask Claire for his balls back from her handbag.
9. Roy and Hayley get properly wed and adopt a really cool kid.
10. Rosie Webster gets pregnant with David Platt's child.

What would your fantasy Corrie storyline be for 2010?
5 comments:
1. Hilda to return for an episode
2. Mavis to return for an episode
3. Ken confides in Rita about something and Deirdre catches them and asumes that they've rekindled their 1972 affair and confronts both of them
4. Emily, now 80, decides to sell No. 3 and move to a bungalow. Norris hears of this and pressurizes her to sell. Emily later realises that she is in good health and decides to stay, much to Norris' annoyance.
5. Dev wants to expand the corner shop and wants to buy No. 13 from the Peacocks. Claire uses this as an opportunity to move from the street. This is when Hilda's back and she hears of this and tells Claire that she was in the same situation in 1985 when Alf wanted to expand, and advises her to stay put. Claire does so, leaving Dev unamused.
That roofer fellow who michelle bedded never ever shows his miserable am dram acting abilities on thecobnles again. He was truly truly awful.
Hayley gets a strong storyline that doesn't involve Roy moralising and instead unites them both.
Carla gets some decent new stories.
Michelle finally calms down into a character rather than a parody of a single mum.
Jack isn't in it just out of loyalty but has some good drama.
Claire doesn't get depressed again, she's better being comic.
Eileen leaves or has a character overhaul. She's been usurped by the fantastic julie.
-Roofer guy leaves and takes Michelle and Ryan with him...
-Maria never returns to the Cobbles
-Tony escapes from prison, has plastic surgery in South America and comes back to the Cobbles to work for Streetcars...
-Ken takes another stab at writing his serious literary fiction. It gets published after a massive re-write by the editor, marketed as a popular low-brow romance novel and is a runaway success, much to his embarassment.
-Lloyd and Natasha get together
- Theresa becomes curry queen and competes with the Windasses for social status
- Eileen goes away and Julie, her half sister moves into her flat and romances Jesse.
-Daryl, Amber and Wiki return to the street full time. Barry and Helen move to Weatherfield.
-Rita returns and realises how much she missed Norris.
-Fiz, John and Chesney decide to move away from the street for a fresh start.
-Peter and Leanne's wine bar is a success (I know it probably won't be, but hey) they get married, and Leanne adopts Simon. They could live happily ever after at No 5.
-Maria and Tyrone become friends after their respective tragedies, and maybe get back together.
-A serious error is made in Sally's cancer treatment, and a medical negligence storyline ensues.
-Eileen has a really good storyline, but I can't think what!
My ideal 2010 storylines:
-Claire dies (hurrah) thus creating decent storylines for Ashley
-There's a big party at the Rovers to celebrate Betty's 90th birthday (plus a good way to shoe-horn in some old faces in the 50th year!)
-Maria returns as a really positive character
-Blanche gets a fitting send-off with a few comedy moments
-Carla has a fun storyline. Let's see a different side to her
-Michelle and her dreary son pack their bags and go to live with Mammy Ireland
-Norris finally admits that he is gay (Although it would be about as much of a shock as when Christopher Biggins outed himself)
-Bill Webster's other son (Carl?) makes an appearance. How about having the Webster Brothers working together in the garage?
I think that's probably enough nonsense for now . . .
