But now they're both so different, both cheated on by their spouse, both lost a spouse and both got a kid. It seems right that Tyrone and Maria reunite now, they're both older and wiser.
They could even have their own name: 'Ty-a-Maria' I think it is what Jack and Vera would want for Tyrone, and I really hope the writers go down this route.

I hope so too... But poor Tyrone, he was cheated on by Maria on a few occasions... then he was cheated on by Molly! - A girl I thought would never do that :(
I liked the friends thing tonight, and if they let it develop very slowly, maybe. They weren't the greatest couple way back when, but she's not so high maintenance now, he's smartened up a bit, and they're both nice and loyal people, so, like I said, maybe. First, though, I'm wondering what he'll do for work, and how he'll apologize to Connie.

I think this is a far better potential storyline than the Tyrone/Sally rumour, there's something kinda ewwww about that idea. Ty and Maria though, I can definitely see that working.
Nahhhh... there's too much history and not a good one. Maria treated Tyrone terribly. I think it might be nice to see Tyrone with someone new. I know there isn't much for Maria to do these days, but I really didn't think this character amounted to much. The writers did a pretty bad job with her as far as developing a credible character.
Well in the true spirit of Corrie, I bet it all settles down and Ty goes back to work in the garage.
I think Maria won't go back to him - just friends.
I also think that Connie will leave the street as there isn't anything left for her whereas Pam is linked to baby Jack and needs to keep Kevin in her sights - I love it when she gives him a hard time.
Where will Jack end up though? Will he be given away, stay with Ty or go to the Websters? Interesting - my bet is that Sally forgives Kev and Jack stays with them - it's the obvious choice.
All we need now is for our poor TY to find another girlfriend - but no rush - it's not like he's a Liz character who needs a partner every 5 minutes!!
On that note, where is she - she seems to be in and out of the street all the time these days. Something's brewing both in and out of the 'street'!
Tyrone and Fizz please xx with no affairs or murders or other such stuff. A sound, loyal, loving couple struggling to pay the bills and keep their heads above water while raising Hope and Jack - There's 20 years of life (and classic lines) just waiting to be written
Well, whatever happens to Tyrone's relationships, I think Kevin should hand over the keys to the garage to him. I know it sounds dire, but I could see Kev sleeping rough on the Red Rec for a few months. I just can't see how he's going to fit in on The Street at this point. Tyrone will bounce back with all the support he's got.
I'd like to see Ty and Maria get back together.
Liz is visiting Andy in Spain I think.
I'd like to see Ty and Maria as a couple again - I think it could work this time round, they're both older and wiser. Ty's developing more of an edge and as abbyk says Maria's not so high maintenance.
I think it could definitely work :) I loved their scenes last night, felt far more realistic than Tyrone and Molly!
I'd prefer Ty and Maria over Ty & Fizz.
When the Stape saga is over, Fizz should get back together with Kirk.
Or they should kill Kirk as he's useless.

Cute picture! Their tragedies have been so similar, surely Tyrone and Maria are destined to get back together. I think it would work, because they have both grown up a lot (particularly Maria) and probably just want a simple, happy life now. They are two of my favourite characters, so I would really like this route, but it should definitely be a slow burner.
Ty and Maria is unrealistic and just projects Corrie into fantasy land. Fiz and Ty is a much better idea.
So Maria goes from the HOT Liam, the hot Tony, to Tyrone again? :P
Shallow as it is, I must agree with the above commenter.. there is just too much of a "looks" imbalance between them!
I'd prefer Tyrone with Fiz too, the true successors to Jack and Vera!
