Corrieblog nicks our content again

There are loads of excellent Coronation Street fan sites out there. The big daddy of course is corrie.net, a site which I'm proud to be part of, along with our blogger Tvor (she does most of the work, it has to be said). And there are fan blogs and picture sites and of course the official Corrie site is better than it's been in years.

And then, well, then there are sites that are set up to do nothing more than make money from the adverts that surround unoriginal content about a particular subject - be it shoes, technology or even Coronation Street. And one of these sites in particular - Corrieblog - needs embarassing publicly because they're taking content from this site to use on their own. There's nothing wrong with that in theory - we take content from all over the place - but we always credit sources and link to the original where we can. So when a commercial site like Corrieblog takes content from a fan site like this one for their own monetary gain, and nothing more, then that is very unfair indeed. A group of dedicated Corrie fans work really hard to make this site enjoyable for fans. Corrieblog continues to be run by Shiny Media, a company which went bankrupt last year.
