Corrie couples, Love is in the air once more

This week I’ll be listing some of my favourite couples on the cobbles.

Paul and Billy

Isn’t it nice to see a happy, stable couple who are just enjoying being in love? These two are so adorable together that it’s impossible not to smile when they’re onscreen. I had hoped that Paul’s abuse storyline would kick off an exciting new chapter for these two but we’ve barely seen hide nor hair of them since.

Toyah and Imran

These two are surprisingly a lot of fun together. Again it’s nice to see a couple getting along for a change. I could see these two wanting to settle down and start a family, so perhaps an adoption or fostering storyline is on the cards?

Sally and Tim

Ah, a tale as old as time, the snob and the slob. These two balance each other out and are always guaranteed to bring the comedy. I’m glad they’ve stuck together all these years and I think they make a good couple. I’ve got to admit the Tim bigamy plotline was a bit pointless though, wasn’t it?

Join me next time as I unveil my top picks for best and worst couple. Thanks for reading.

I really like Toyah and Imran together. I hope they are allowed to stay together long term.

The bigamy thing, what was the point indeed? Just so we can have another wedding? Or a plot device to have Geoff giving them money without Yasmeen's knowledge?

I really am not convinced by Billy and Paul. Billy acts more like his dad than his boyfriend.

I agree with anonymous. Billy and Paul just don’t work for me. There just isn’t the chemistry that Billy and Todd had
Please not another fostering/adoption storyline.

Due to the possibility of Sally being on Yasmeen's side in the aftermath of Geoff'sdeath,I doubt that Sally and Tim will make it down the aisle a second time and will most likely divorce due to an affair that Tim has with Abi because Sally 'betrayed 'him,

I understand Tim and Sally and Imran and Toyah being on this list, both of these couples seem very natural and they are enjoyable to watch. You can also see what each of them get out of the relationship and see that it has a potential future.

But don't for the life of me see what anyone gets out of the Billy & Paul relationship. Like a couple of others have commented, Billy comes across more as a parental figure, which when you consider the subject matter of Paul's story last year is quite disturbing really. Keep waiting for the show to mention that's why Paul like him. They're completely chemistry free and seem to be together for lack of any other options. There was no build up to their relationship, we're just supposed to accept they like each other because they are both gay. It's like trying to watch Carla and Kirk have a relationship.
