And now there are paparazzi pics online of actor Ryan Russell, former Cbeebies star, filming for the first time alongside co-star Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle Connor. You can view the pics here.
Ryan has joined the soap as a member of the soap's first black family and will play the role of Michael Bailey. Michael will soon move onto the street after his mum Agatha Bailey-played by Lorna Laidlaw who was Mrs Winifred Tembe in Doctor's- buys Norris Cole’s old house.

ummm...I guess Lloyd, his daughter and her mom don't count as a black family
Christine, I was thinking the same thing as you.
I thought like-wise. Craig Charles was very explicit about wanting to be the first black family on the Street. Dreadful shame that the opportunity was completely messed up by tptb.
